Analysis and Forecasting: ways to build trust within your business

Are you ready to take your forecasting to a new level? Trust arises from the depth and quality of our analysis. But don’t forget the basics. Paul Jackson-Moss shows how engagement and communication is fundamental to understanding what in the business could affect your analysis.

If I had to describe what I wanted more than anything else in my analysis and forecasting it would be ‘trusted’ and secondly ‘put to good use’. Forecasting is a means of communicating about the future, for a purpose. Understanding the limits of your data and outputs is vital; if they don’t support that purpose you will lose credibility. You won’t build trust. Equally, if your forecasts exist only to be debated or knocked down, then there is no value, and therefore no credibility either.
