The Forum’s Terms and Conditions for Membership and Events

These Terms and Conditions apply to membership, website access and all bookings for programmes, events, learning, workshops and services provided by The Forum. By registering, booking or participating, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

These Terms and Conditions replace any alternative terms unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Nothing we say or do should be taken as accepting different terms unless we confirm this in writing. These terms may be updated from time to time, with updates applying from the date of publication on our website. Specific terms may apply for individual events and will be outlined in the relevant event materials or booking confirmation.

Privacy and Confidentiality
Our privacy policy is an integral part of our terms and conditions; acceptance of the products or services covered by this contract includes acceptance of the terms in the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy can be found here. This has been reviewed to ensure compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and any relevant changes under the Data Protection and Digital Information Bill (if enacted).

Receiving updates about our Best Practice Programme is provided free of charge, for organisations and their nominated individuals, regardless of any current engagement in paid-for services. Participation is voluntary and opt-out is available at any time.

You can choose to receive updates about The Forum's Best Practice Programme free of charge. You may unsubscribe at any time.

Accessibility and Inclusion
We are committed to making our events, website, and services accessible in accordance with the Equality Act 2010. Should you require any reasonable adjustments, please contact us at the time of booking or as early as possible.

Membership and Subscriptions
Membership privileges, including website access, are dependent on payment of the relevant membership subscription at the time of subscribing. Individual and associate memberships apply to the individual, not their organisation. Corporate memberships apply to the subscribing organisation.

We hope never to do so, but we reserve the right to suspend or withdraw membership where these Terms and Conditions are breached or where behaviour brings The Forum into disrepute.

Bookings for events will remain provisional until full payment is received.

Payment Terms
Invoices are payable within 28 days. Prompt payment helps us continue investing in our members, programmes and community, and we appreciate your support.

Copyright and Intellectual Property
The Forum retains ownership of all intellectual property relating to our programmes, materials, frameworks and methodologies. These resources are provided for use within your own organisation and may not be reproduced, distributed or used commercially without our prior written permission.

Learning Materials and AI
Our learning materials, Standards Frameworks, guides, videos and digital content remain the intellectual property of The Forum. They may be used to support learning within your own organisation but may not be reproduced, shared externally, uploaded into public AI tools, or used to create commercial products without our prior written consent.

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid for the relevant product or service, except where liability cannot legally be excluded. We shall not be liable for:
  - Loss of profit, business, contracts or revenue
  - Failure to realise anticipated savings
  - Special, indirect or consequential loss

Any potential exceptions to this limitation must be notified to us in writing prior to making a booking.
Each clause in this section shall be deemed independent and shall survive termination of the contract

Disclaimer
The information we provide is intended to support learning and professional development. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, users remain responsible for how they apply that information within their own organisations.

Third-Party Rights
Nothing in this agreement shall confer any rights or benefits to any third party.
