Standards of Conduct: Respect & Safety at Our Events

To ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants, The Forum upholds the following Standards of Conduct at all events. These principles support our Prevention of Sexual Harassment Policy and reflect our shared responsibility to foster a professional and welcoming atmosphere.

1. Professionalism and Respect
  • All delegates are expected to treat others with dignity, courtesy, and respect at all times, regardless of role, affiliation, gender, race, religion, age, sexual orientation, or background.
  • Offensive, derogatory, or discriminatory language or behaviour will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
  • Attendees must remain mindful of how their words and actions may affect others, and strive to contribute to a positive and collaborative environment
2. Harassment-Free Environment
  • The Forum maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward sexual harassment, bullying, or any other form of intimidation or unwanted conduct.
  • Harassment includes unwelcome verbal or physical behaviour, inappropriate jokes or comments, unwanted attention, or any conduct that creates an uncomfortable or hostile environment.
  • Any concerns or incidents should be reported immediately to event organizers or designated Forum staff, who will address the issue promptly and confidentially.
3. Accountability and Representation
  • Delegates are reminded that they represent not only themselves but also their organisations. As such, they are expected to adhere to both their organisation’s policies and The Forum’s code of conduct.
  • Inappropriate behaviour may lead to removal from the event and notification of the individual’s organisation, depending on the severity of the incident.
4. Safe Spaces and Inclusive Participation
  • The Forum strives to ensure that all event spaces—whether physical or virtual—are inclusive and accessible.
  • Attendees should respect personal boundaries and be attentive to verbal and non-verbal cues.
  • Everyone is encouraged to actively listen, support diverse perspectives, and engage in discussions constructively and respectfully.
