Top tips for building performance dashboards from members at the November Conference

Limit the number of metrics – We need our audience to focus on what matters. It is only possible to focus on a small number of things at a time so bombarding our audience with too many metrics can cause them to lose focus on what matters.

Include the ability to drill down – High level metrics give you an overview of what needs to change and allow you to prioritise. However, you may need to drill in to a more granular level to find the root cause. If you are a team leader you may want to drill down to individual performance. You may also want to drill down to supporting metrics.
