Resource & Capacity Planning Manager, Cheshire

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Resource and Capacity Planning Manager to join the Nursing division of a global healthcare company with a growing presence in the UK.

Reporting to the Head of Nursing, the Resource and Capacity Planning Manager will lead a team of 10 Resource Planners working in a fast-paced environment. The team manage the centralised national resource planning requirements to deliver efficient, effective and safe resources through proactive workforce projections against defined business targets and service level agreements. The responsibilities will include, although not be limited to;

Key Responsibilities;

  • Proactively managing the supply and demand challenges of nursing services delivered across the UK within the community
  • Providing accurate and commercially focused analytical management information
  • Contributing to the development of the nursing strategy
  • Developing the IT system and standard operating procedures
  • Liaising with the relevant business departments to manage the day-to-day activities that affect service delivery, ensuring variances against plan are identified and solutions provided
  • Ensuring compliance with all recognised and relevant standards, both internally and externally

What experience is needed;

  • Proven experience of leading a Resource Planning team
  • Experience of forecasting, managing multiple, conflicting priorities and delivering at pace to deadlines
  • Evidence of continuous improvement through innovative and creative solutions
  • Advanced IT skills , specifically Excel and the use of a WFM tool.
  • Excellent influencing and  interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish credibility and build relationships.
