Operational Improvement with Purpose

Raising standards must be intentional. At The Forum we often ask: what is a plan? The dictionary gives us one answer, but we have been more explicit. A plan is the intent to do, or not to do, something. That intention defines whether we move forward or stay stagnant.

This matters because operational improvement is not passive. It is a deliberate act. It demands resilience, agility and above all, purpose. In our roles, when we talk about raising standards, we must define our starting point and then think about our future state. If we do not look ahead and understand what is coming, we will struggle to be prepared. As technology develops and expectations shift, readiness is everything.
