An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in our Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), based at Ambulance Headquarters, as a Workforce Forecasting and Planning Analyst on a fixed term basis. In this role, you will play an integral role in the development and maintenance of a statistical forecast model alongside the Trust’s WFM system to achieve optimal results / forecast accuracy. This is vital in ensuring that we have the adequate resources to meet the significant demands of the c.1.6 million calls we handle annually across NHS111, 999 and Patient Transport Services.
The post holder will also be responsible for providing insights on actual performance vs forecast, working closely with colleagues within the workforce planning team, using this analysis to build recommendations around future performance.
You will need to have a degree or significant relevant knowledge of statistical analysis, capacity and demand, workforce management and managing large scale change as well as recognised qualifications in Microsoft Excel to an advanced level or demonstrable skills gained through significant experience. And specialist knowledge in terms of industry standard techniques – such as Erlang calculations – together with a hands on knowledge of workforce management systems are a must.
