Forecasting in a volatile and uncertain world

Forecasting is not exclusive to people within a planning role. We are all making decisions, looking to drive improvement. And if we want to be confident in our decisions then these should be supported by data that tells us what to expect as a result. So whatever our role, we are all doing some kind of forecasting or predictive analysis. And it just got more difficult than ever in the last few years, didn’t it?

How can we shape the future?

People may ask you “what’s the use of forecasting if thing are always changing?” And you may think “There’s no value in trying to forecast what is unpredictable. How can we work in such a volatile and fast changing world?
