We have an exciting opportunity for a Mid Term Resource Planning and Scheduling Analyst to join our Resource Planning team based at our Lynch Wood, Peterborough offices.  You will demonstrate an understanding of business drivers working with various stakeholders across multiple sites to deliver optimised plans and schedules to meet operational needs, whilst identify opportunities to maximize the effectiveness of stakeholder resource.

What you'll be doing

  • Presenting optimised plans to stakeholders, making recommendations for change or improvements maximising resource utilisation.
  • Producing accurate and fit for purpose schedules ensuring resource is deployed in line with plan to achieve service level targets.
  • Supporting recruitment with analysis of change of hours/contract requests, taking into consideration YBS ‘working time’ polices through the identification of gaps in staffing profiles, to maximize service level and resource utilisation.   
  • Delivering requests within agreed process, aiming to be outside of release schedule or within the shrinkage allowance.
  • Analysing and acting on feedback to support business needs and feed into the planning cycle to ensure plans are fit for purpose.
  • Adhering to real time handover and process within agreed timescales.
  • Analysing both internal and external business information make & present recommendations to achieve cost and/or operational efficiencies. 
  • Driving maximum efficiency from the planning systems (e.g. WFM/Avaya) through utilisation of all functionality, sharing best practice within peer group and stakeholder community.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects where required and or as Subject Matter Expert on stakeholder projects representing the RP team.
  • Maintain accurate & up to date RP documentation including process maps/ user documents, meeting minutes etc. with appropriate version control.
  • Initiate what if scenario planning analysis / evaluations to support changing business requirements.
  • Undertake root cause analysis where service issues arise, make recommendations to stakeholders to mitigate future reoccurrence.
  • Provide support for all teams and Resource and Planning as required. 

The Knowledge & Skills you’ll have:

  • 5 GCSE A* - C including maths and English or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of key principles of Resource Planning, Real Time Management, Contact Centre drivers and key industry metrics.
  • Working knowledge of telephony applications and Workforce Management systems.
  • Ability to analyse complex situations and data and take rapid remedial action.
  • Proven ability to make decisions and take accountability for actions.
  • Experience of working within a virtual team & across multiple stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
