What you’ll do:
Accountable for the short-term plans and forecasts across operational departments and ensuring that resource is adequately spread to deal with demand. Supporting the RP manager with strategic plans that will be driven from the short-term data. Will hold planning meetings with Stakeholders to ensure visibility of the plan is transparent. Will set up a RP team for success and drive performance through team management.

How you’ll do it:
The resource planning team is part of Operational Excellence and relatively new team looking at optimizing operational efficiencies, customer obsessed and exceeding expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Up keep and communication of all plans and measure accuracy of these. Continuous leaning piece
  • Oversee the setup of schedule management and distribution to ensure people are “in the know” about their shift.
  • Support the decision making over the operational resource pool and allocation of staffing.
  • Builds and maintains a team who are known as ‘experts’ in resourcing and planning
  • To provide leadership, direction, development and motivation for a small team of Analysts
  • Ensure accurate forecasting is in place across all multi-channel activities
  • Ensure optimal use of resource via effective scheduling optimization plans and processes using a WFM (Work Force Management System).
  • Work with senior leaders to ensure development of technologies, processes and people are in line with corporate strategies and targets

Key Tasks

  • Leading planning meetings with internal stakeholders.
  • Leading the build and continual refinement short term plans
  • Support the operational functions – Key Stakeholders
  • Keep sight of short term marketing change
  • Effective relationship across operations and marketing

Line management:

  • To lead and define the performance measures and personal objectives for RP analysts, ensuring these duties lead directly into the delivery of your overall responsibilities.
  •  Ensure each individual delivers these objectives through regular contact, appropriate personnel management processes and support.  Ensure objectives and results are recorded and discussed regularly throughout the review period, including succession planning.
  • To act as a role model, living the brand values and setting high standards through own behaviour and actions.
  • To actively ensure that any systems containing either your information or team information are up to date and accurate at all times.

  • Experience at working effectively in a high-pressure environment, to challenging deadlines.
  • Manual Erlang experience.
  • Experience of forecasting & scheduling.
  • The ability to promote the introduction of new ideas by continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, professional individual.
  • Competent use and understanding of WFM.
  • Excellent Problem-solving skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Excellent Communication Skills both verbally and written.
  • Excellent diplomacy/creative skills.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, professional individual.
  • Excellent MS office application knowledge including Excel & Access.
  • Knowledge of planning applications and structure.

Working 37.5 hours per week any 5 days from 7 between the hours of 0900 - 1730
